Dear Members,

This is my pleasure to be elected as JAGAM Northern Branch (JNB) chairman for the term 2017 – 2019 and I would like to express my sincere thanks to JNB members for your support and trust.
As in the new term, our committee is looking forward to recruit new and young members to join the JNB family. This is an importance and continues task for the committee to ensure JNB continue grows and energetic. JNB will also continue to promote friendship between JAGAM branches as well as to promote friendship in the context of The ASEAN Council of Japan Alumni (ASCOJA) in order to enhance JAGAM networks for mutual benefit.

in conjunction of 60th Years Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relation between Malaysia and Japan, JNB will continue promote cultural and education events to strengthen Malaysia – Japan ties. Some activities has been planned includes organized Toyohashi Study Tour for Malaysia secondary school students to Toyohashi city with supports from Toyohashi City Hall and Toyohashi University of Technology as co-organizer. The study tour has received good responses from students and parents (members). Moving forward, JNB will continue to organize more study tour events to Japan to benefit children of JNB members in order to bridge-up new generation between Malaysia – Japan.

JNB will also continue participate in education fair to promote Japan education especially in the area of innovation, science and technology as well as other fields in order to prepare the next generation to drive the development of the country especially in the digital economy and subsequently contribute to the TN50 (Transformasi National 2050).

Besides promoting cultural and education activities, JNB will expand its supports to foreign enterprises who are intended to penetrate into Malaysia or ASEAN market through the JAGAM network. We believe, this will bring more benefit to our members and the country as a whole.

Lastly, I am looking forward to collaborate with all of you to ensure the growth of the organization. Please feel free to reach out me for any suggestion or ideas for the benefit of the organization.
