Asia Japan Alumni (ASJA) International with the collaboration of Japan Graduates Association of Malaysia (JAGAM) will be providing scholarship to eligible applicants for Master or PhD course for the April 2009 enrolment.

The scholarship is provided by Asia Japan Alumni (ASJA) International of which its registration with the UN (United Nation) as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).

It comprises of various ASEAN Council of Japan alumni (ASCOJA) chapters namely Japan Graduates’ Association of Malaysia (JAGAM), Japan University Graduates’ Association of Singapore (JUGAS), Perhimpunan Alumni Dari Jepang Indonesia (PERSADA), Old Japan Students’ Association, Thailand (OJSAT), Philippines Federation of Japan Alumni (PHILFEJA), Myanmar Association of Japan Alumni (MAJA) together with the statutory bodies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan.

Malaysians who are below 35 years old and intended to pursue their post-graduates studies in Japan are eligible to apply. Those without Japanese language knowledge will be given monthly allowance of Japanese Yen 134,000 to pursue an Intensive Japanese Language Training before the course proper. Upon acceptance into research program in university, monthly allowance of Japanese Yen 160,000 - 170,000 will be given. Return Air ticket to Japan will be provided. This scholarship will be awarded to the successful applicant for April 2009 enrolment.
