Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister’s Commendation 2007 Award

In conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relation between Japan and Malaysia, a local organization, the Japan Graduates Association of Malaysia ( JAGAM), has been selected and conferred with the Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister’s Commendation 2007 award.

The award is conferred on individuals and organizations whose contributions and efforts in the promotion of bilateral relationship between Japan and Malaysia as tremendous and outstanding.

The award was presented by the Ambassador of Japan, H.E. Mr. Masahiko Horie, at his official Residence on 9 November 2007 and the President of JAGAM, Mr Goh Nge Seung received the award on behalf of the association. Upon receipt of the award, Mr Goh Nge Seung expressed his gratitude for being conferred with the award. He said it is indeed an honour to JAGAM for being selected and proved of the Association‘s efforts and contribution for the past 35 years. On behalf on the JAGAM, he thanked the Japanese Government for confirming the JAGAM’s role and contributions.

In the past, a total of 4 individuals and organizations from Malaysia were awarded; amongst which, the Institute of Strategic and International Studies(ISIS) was awarded in 2006.
